+ What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is defined as constantly varied functional movements performed in high intensity. All workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing, and more. (courtesy of CrossFit.com)
It is a class-based fitness methodology which works on strength and conditioning program, completed in one hour intervals. Coaches instruct and guide all members through a structured program. A typical class will go through the following sequence:
Part 1: Warm-up
Part 2: Skill work (i.e. pull-ups, core work, barbell lifts) or Strength work (i.e. back squats or bench presses)
Part 3: Conditioning - Time-based (moving as fast a possible to finish) or Effort-based (doing as many rounds or repetitions for a given time limit).
Part 4: Cool-down
+ What is SweatHouse?
Our Sweathouse classes are very similar to our CrossFit classes. However, If CrossFit is higher load, lower volume, Sweathouse is the same functional strength and conditioning program with lower load and higher volume.
+ Do I need prior experience to join a class?
Our coaches are there to assist you throughout the class and scale movements as needed.
+ Do I have to be in shape to take a classes?
This is a common misconception that CrossFit is for fit and strong individuals, athletes. Interestingly enough, 90% of our community base join classes simply for general fitness, and not to become elite athletes or competitors.
Every member has a day job and family to go home to. Our community is comprised of current and retired athletes, doctors, teachers, parents, grandparents, students and people who have never stepped in a gym. We take pride in nurturing a diverse and inclusive community that welcomes anyone and everyone.
+ Where are you located and where do I park?
We are conveniently located in a parking building. You can find us at the Ground Floor of One Parkade Building, 28th Street corner 7th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City.
+ Do I need a PayPal account to buy class passes online?
You should have an active PayPal account if you wish to get class passes online. However, if you don't have an active PayPal account, you can send us a message. We will be excited to meet you at our front desk.
+ What to bring?
You can wear comfortable and appropriate workout clothes and shoes. An extra set of clothes and towel for after your workout.
Our facility has showers and bath products to get you ready for your next activity for the day. There are lockers for your things, there are also visible shelves by the workout area that you can use to store your things.
Don’t forget to bring your water flask, we do have a dispenser in the box. However, if you prefer, we also have bottled water for sale. We have a beverage bar where you can buy coffee, smoothies, and sports drinks.
